Description: My daughter finished this module as a "fall in New England" scene for a school art competition, after the module base had languished, structurally complete but unused, on a shelf for a couple of years. The inspiration photo had, in the background amongst the trees, a couple walking their dogs. So I provided some 3D-printed figures to create a little cameo: the girl sits on a log in the clearing to enjoy a snack with the full attention of her dogs, while her boyfriend gets ready to photograph the next train.
The module is built on an 18mm plywood plank with Woodland Scenics Sub-Terrain materials coated in plaster cloth, like it's pair Wheal Kompes. We used two whole packs of WS Fine Leaf Foliage to pack the module with trees, bushes and undergrowth.
The scenery on this offset module was inspired by a photograph of a freight train in New England. | |
