BW-Rochelle
Built By: Bob Wilcox
Description: A railroad park was created in Rochelle, Illinois, so railfans could enjoy the heavy traffic on the crossing routes. Back in the day one line carried the named trains of the Burlington Route: Morning and Afternoon Zephyrs; the Empire Builder, North Coast Limited, the Western Star, the Mainstreeter, and many others. The other line belonged to the Chicago Northwestern which hosted such trains as the UP’s City of Los Angeles, City of San Franciso, City of Denver, and others. Today this site can be seen on YouTube via Virtual Rainfan. This module is in honor of this amazing site.
