Cardboard Boxes

If you have enough modules that are regularly transported to exhibits it can feel like you are moving. So why not use corrugated cardboard moving boxes? The price is certainly right at about $1.00 per box. This is a great solution if you have resisted the temptation to build modules larger than a single.

There are other sources but the U-Haul Small Moving Box is an ideal size for a single module. They are readily available in the US and are a uniform size. The box dimensions are 16-3/8" x 12-5/8" x 12-5/8" so most singles will need to be inserted with the box on its side. It is also a good practice to use a marker to note the "new" top of the box on all sides and to cover the normal hand holds so they will not be used by someone just trying to help. This is a great solution for transporting modules, such as Godzirra and Not Happy Campers, that have delicate above module details.
