About Me or What I Like Most About T-Trak
I used to have an HO model railway when I was a child in Germany, but it's been packed in boxes since then. Many people picked it up again in the lockdown, however I was a bit late (as usual) and decided to start again when I was quarantining with covid in 2023. I got the old HO locos out but decided that I didn't have the space for an HO layout, so decided to swap to N gauge. Initially I got some German (Fleischmann) locos and track, but then decided I was going to model Fulbourn station circa the 1950s-60s. So I then started acquiring GER/LNER/BR locos and stock that would have passed through that station.
I started a layout, but over complicated it, and got stuck doing the software for some sensors under the tracks. With the recent start of this local club I've decided doing a module at a time will be easier to keep going with.
My Modules
I'm planning a total of 4 triple-modules, which together will make up Fulbourn station, yard and grain store. I am starting with the second on the list below:
- Goods shed and coaling yard
- Station master's house, signal box, level crossing and cattle platform
- Station platforms, waiting rooms and grain store.
- Points and sidings to connect to the grain store sidings.
My Trains
My trains are local to the area and include:
- LNER B12 (formerly GER Class S69) - Union Mills
- Holden D16 (aka "Claud Hamiltons") - Union Mills
- LNER B17 (also "Sandringham" or "Footballer" class) - Dapol
- Thompson B1 (also 'Antelope' Class) - Graham Farish
Diesels:
- Class 20 diesel (DRS)
- Class 31
- Class 37
- Class 57
I also want to build my own E4 and N7 locos, but that's a long term project.
