About Me or What I Like Most About T-Trak
I returned to railway modelling during the covid lockdown and built Pencarrow (N Gauge Journal 5/22) based (very) loosely on the Wenford clay dries near Bodmin. My main interests are GWR and SR from 1924 through to nationalisation and the transition period to diesel. This makes for a varied roster of rolling stock.
I am now working on a "Beyond Pencarrow" project based on 600x600mm Modules forming a 3mx1.8m L shaped layout with Peco Streamline track. At the time of writing I am 2 years into what I estimate will be a 5 year project!
I am a member of the N Gauge Society and the Model Electronics Railway Group. I run DCC using the MERG CBus control system with a MERG command station, power booster and cabs. I currently have 16 DCC engines and considerably more wagons and coaches.
I have a couple of 3D printers (one 4K resin and one filament deposit) which are used to print buildings, accessories and people. I subscribe to Modelu's Patreon scheme and have built up a portfolio of 3D files of people.
When Chris Moody floated the idea of forming an NGS Cambridge area group to run N gauge T-Track I decided to come along and see what T-Track had to offer. The potential for lightweight portable modules that club members can bring along and put together a layout quickly and easily caught my attention. I have a number of DC engines and this would allow me to run these. I now have 2x double modules and the parts for 4x corner modules. The track is on order!
