Maron Station

Built By: Nathan F (aka Nate F)

Description: This is a scratch-built recreation of a station from the fictional Isle of Sodor, the setting for Thomas the Tank Engine. The building core, platforms and platform roofs were made from balsa wood. The brick walls and roof of the station are plastic textured sheeting by Plastruct. The columns supporting the platform roofs are .125" round rod by Plastruct. The pedestrian bridge is a vintage die cast metal item made in the early 1960's for Lone Star Treble-O-Trains. (We placed 2 layers of sandpaper beneath the columns to achieve minimum height requirements). Trees, benches and ballast by Woodland Scenics. Vehicles by Oxford and Base Toys.
