Description: We built a mirrored pair of tunnel portal modules in October and November 2023. The modules were more of a "teaching aid", with the children testing the proposed tunnel positions and recommending changes so a double-stack container wagon could run through freely. We discussed how double-stack container wagons allow more goods to be moved in a given length of train compared to single container wagons. If our tunnel wasn't tall enough, then longer trains or more trains would be needed to move the same amount of cargo. The children did some of the landscaping work to make the terrain contours.
