North Geelong Junction

Built By: Marcus Wong

Description: My build of the "Triple Length Interchange with #6 Turnouts (474mm x 928mm)" design found on the Double and Triple Length Interchange Modules page.

Structure is timber frame with blue XPS foam core. I used 70mm x 18mm pine for the front and back fascia, and 40mm x 18mm pine for the sides so there is somewhere to hide the nut inserts for the feet when they are retracted.

Unfortunately I didn't have any of the required 348 mm 30 degree curves in my stash, but do have a stack of 45 degree ones, so I cut up the track I've already got to fit.

Electrically the two interchange tracks at the rear have been isolated from the back main using insulated rail joiners, with independent track feeds provided. Hence four RCA sockets have been provided - front and back main, left interchange fork, and right interchange fork.
